you first find TDC on crank then rotate the intake cam on rt.bank till the single mark is at 12 o'clock then the lower exhausthas 2 that line with the intakes 6o'clock then repeat the same on the left bank then place timing belt tighten then rotate 2 times clockwise never counter clockwise make sure the marks allighn then start
You don't "set" a timing belt. There is no adjustment, either it's right or it's not. You change a timing belt at whatever interval Subaru recommends for your Forester. --Ken
