Tools you will need: Flashlight ,ratchet,10mm, 14mm, 21mm Take off the top timing belt cover with a 10mm socket, take a look at the cam sprocket, it will have either 3 or 4 holes that align it to the dowel pin in the cam. If there are 3 holes make sure the pin is in "A", if there are 4 holes make sure the pin is in "1". Now that the belt and cam gear are visible, take your 21 mm socket place it on the crankshaft bolt and rotate the crankshaft clockwise until number (1) is lined up with that triangle just behind the cam gear at the top..!then take your flashlight and shine it down inside THE BOTTOM TIMING BELT COVER and see if the DASH that is marked on the crankshaft is also lined up with the line THAT STICKS OUT above it !!if it is YOUR TIMING IS ON you should then check your distributor and make sure that the rotor button under the distributor cap is pointing directly under number one plug wire,if not remove it and make sure it is when you put it back and your truck should run like a dream....After that you are on your way!
