how do you set the timing belt on a 1997 ford contour 2.0 4cy
u cant most newer vehicles timing is controled by the cars computer
Ignition timing is automatically set. sorry.
Go to this website http://www.aa1car.com/library/2004/us70444.htm. It tells you how to adjust the timing.
you have to take the top off the camshaft and there a tool youuse to line them up before putting the belt on
You cant. It is all controlled by the ecu.
buy a new or used set of clear lensed headlights with a xenon bulb
how do you set or check the timing on a 99 ford expedition?
I have a 1995 contour and all I used was a pair of ford radio removal clips. They look something like 2 inch horseshoes with small connectors on the end. They are inserted into the four holes in the radio to unlock it and then just pull it out. At first I talked the Ford dealer to unlock it, but ended up buying a set at an auto supply store. Mine have worked on the 95 Contour, 2002 F150 and 2005 Ranger. Each auto manufacturer has different unlocking devices.
you set timing by the marks on the cam shaft and the crank shaft. they should point at together to make it run right.
Turn the radio on. Holding down the 'clock' button and use '' (forward) to set minute.
With the ignition off set the park brake then turn the truck on and the light will be off
Shock absorbers ( also motorcraft.com lists a dual shock absorber set-up AVAILABLE on the 1999 Ford Ranger 2 wheel drive , if you have that particular set-up there are 4 shock absorbers on the front suspension )
I also wish someone would answer this question as my 1997 Ford contour does the same thing. It shakes and vibrates very bad when it idles and it idles really low. They set the idle up to make it so it wouldn't die so now when I start it it revs up really bad then it idles down then it idles down to low and shakes I also wish someone would answer this question as my 1997 Ford contour does the same thing. It's computer controlled - you don't need to!
No. the headlights are terrible. I would be better off with a set of candles.
Your insturment pannel is currently set to auto dim. page78 in owners guide
Yes, it can stop suddenly. You may not have a code set if it failed instantly.
There should be no difference The difference between the two are the different set of heads and intake used on the 1999 that was not used on the 1997.
The cast of The Set Effect - 1999 includes: MYC Agnew as Lead Carlos Del Olmo as Carlos Anne Ford Galiana as Rachel Stacy Rukeyser as Karen
May be controlled by computer and non-adjustable
Set your parking brake before you turn on your ignition. This cancels out your headlights.
On my 1999 F150, you press the clock button then use the left and right scan buttons to set it. Don't know if this will work for a '94 or not.
