Aloe vera straight from the plant applied to the burn is best. You can also check your pharmacy for a spray with lidocaine in it. Cool water compresses may help. After the burn has settled down a little, use cocoa butter to help heal. Beware of aloe vera combinations that contain chemicals,& fragrances that may irritate. Aloe vera gel straight from the plant or food-grade aloevera is best (applied topically!) Good Luck!

Some information says that caffeine has been proven to eliminate cancerous cells caused by sunburn. Get a flannel dipped in cool coffee and rubbed the burned places with it.

Other suggestions:

Vinegar: spray on or dab on with a towel and cover with a towel for over night relief.

Aspirin: crush a couple of aspirin in a bowl and add a small amount of water to make a paste which can be applied to the burn.

Tea: Make tea, then let it cool. Spray on burned skin or dab on with a towel. Reapply as needed to cool and soothe the burn.

Aloe Vera: break off a piece of an aloe plant and squeeze to get some of the goo out of the end, then rub the goo into the sunburn. There are also aloe vera gels you can buy that work just as well as an aloe plant.
