There is alot. So i will try to sum it up. First you have to project calm and assertive energy at all times. NEVER be frustrated or fearful or angry or over excited. Dogs only follow a calm assertive pack leader. Next you must walk your dog for at least forty five minutes a day and walk her correctly, this way she releases mental energy, running around in the backyard doesnt do anything but take them from a cage to a bigger cage and causes more built up frustrated energy. What i mean by walking correctly is, first make the leash a non-excitment positive thing, by letting the dog come to you when its in your hand and not getting overexcited. after its on hold the leash at your side like a brief case, and have it ravelled up like a hose loosely. when you go for your walk you never leave out of the door until the dog in a calm submissive state, then YOU walk out the door first, wait for the dog to be calm then invite him to the outside. by doing this you have walked into the territory first that you are going to control. when walking, again, stay calm and project calm energy, keeping your hands at you side and head looking up with good intensions. If your dog even looks anywhere but forward you snap the leash to the SIDE to snap him out of it. If he is lunging you push his butt down and turn him around and stop in the place he got aggressive in until he is calm without looking back once, if he looks back snap the leash to the side again, his brain then learns to be calm around that person, dog, or thing that he was once being aggresive towards. if you snap backwards you only intensify the unwanted behavior. it becomes a game of pulling. During the walk do not allow that dog to sniff when and where he wants, if you have ever seen a dog in a walking mode that no matter what you do they are focused and just striding along side the owner? Those dogs are releasing frusted energy mentally, once you dog is in the mode for about 30 minutes then you can allow time to sniff and use the bathroom. only for about 5-8 minutes, then just start walking, no asking verbally, just walk. When you return home don't go in until he is once again calm and you walk in first and then ask him to follow. Second, when he starts to get aggressive you take your two index and pointer fingers and poke firmly at his neck or his side of his stomach below the spine. this simulates the bite of another dog. and it again snaps him out of the unwanted behavior. RIGHT AFTER you poke him if your not standing, stand up and walk in front of him confident as you can be, never fearful, he can sense it, and put your finger up and say "hey" not loud or like you dad used to do, just calm and assertively. until he surrenders and walks away or rolls over or goes back to calm submissive state don't back down. I cant stress how important it is for you not to back down. If you do back down before he submits he wins and you make him more aggressive. I hope i helped i highly suggest you watch or buy Cesar millans dog whisperer on the national geographic channel he is very good and is the reason why i am going to school to become a dog behaviorist. you can also buy his season dvds;)

  • Dogs should be trained from the time they are pups. All my dogs have been trained with my husband and I and the trainer. It makes life a whole lot simpler when you just give hand signals or a grunt here and there and have your dog obey immediately. Your family and friends appreciate your pet much more. All people who own pets are 100% responsible for a well trained dog. Whether the dog is large, medium or small I detest hearing, "Oh, he/she's a big moosh pot and won't bite!" I also don't like parents letting their little ones bend down face-to-face with dogs. Your dog is not the problem, you have to get moving and get the dog trained. Chaining a dog up or putting it in a caged area will only upset the dog more. People have to decide if they want a guard dog or a pet (even a guard dog should listen to commands on the spot!)
  • Have you tried a shock collar, obedience training, or putting animal a fenced in yard by itself.

you cant stop dogs, but it could be possible to try and work. you have to either get a dog whistle or yell at your dog, but if the dogs start fighting do NOT bother them or you will get hurt. if they get in a fight you really need a dog whistle to stop them from damaging each other or killing each other. to stop them from about to fight or gonna bark its better if you put them on a leash and get them away from that other dog. But if you want them to not have babies or somthing, its best you keep your dog away from other dogs or don't let him/her have contact with other dogs to prevent them from making babies or fighting. If you want you can let them sniff each other then it might work out. if your dog is little and seeing another dog, just pick your dog up and away from the other dog/dogs.

Dog aggression is mostly due to the fact that they are guarding their territory. Many adults and children are bitten by misunderstood dogs and the dogs are the ones who get punished for it. Biting, growling, and snarling should never be tolerated but in order for you to get to the root of the problem, you must understand canine behaviour.

In the wild, dogs live in packs which have a heirarchy. When a dog is being aggressive towards other dogs, he/she is guarding his property. He is telling the other dog, "Hey, this is MY human (or couch, or food, or toy... whatever it may be) and you aren't allowed to have it." In the wild this type of behavior is acceptable, but in a home with people, it should not be tolerated. You fix this problem by placing him at the bottom of the heirarchy. YOU should be the leader, not the dog. How do you accomlish this? First of all, teach your dog the basic commands which are: come, sit, lay down, and stay. Take your dog for a walk. Don't let the dog be hyper when you are leashing them. Stand there until it calms down. If the dog acts up while you are leashing it, wait even longer. Your dog will learn that he/she cannot go for a walk unless they calm down.

Take your dog and the other dog on a "pack walk" if you can. If the aggression is to strange dogs while you are walking, teaching your dog how to properly heel should do the trick. While a dog is heeling, their attention is focused on you and where you are going, not on everything else. My new dog is learning this, and it has only been 3 days and she is almost pro. I think she will take longer to train because I feel like she is a born leader or "rank-climber" because she is always challenging her ranking. But even born leaders or "rank-climbers" can be submissive dogs. They just challenge the rank more often. It is easy to correct them as long as you correct them the right way and at the right time. Timing is everything.

Dogs are very active and they naturally go for a walk after they wake up, in the wild, to go hunting. You should take your dog for a walk in the morning. When you get home, allow him/her to cool off before you feed them as feeding too soon before or after a walk can lead to the dog vomiting the food back out. Do not let them beg for food while you are preparing it. Make them lay down and wait for it. Your dog will more than likely get up to eat the food right away but do not allow it. The alpha tells WHEN they can eat. Tell the dog to sit. If they do not sit, set the bowl back on the counter and try again in a few minutes. After they sit down, place the bowl on the ground but do not let them eat the food until you give the ok. Block the dish if you have to. Make them sit. Even just for a couple of seconds. Once you give the dog the ok to eat, allow them to eat.

Never leave food in the bowl for your dog to eat whenever it wants. Do not have staring contests with dogs and tell children not to do it. Do not play tug-of-war unless your dog knows a command to release a toy. Do not allow them to jump on people because in dog talk, that is disrespect. Do not allow them to bite even while they are playing.

A submissive dog should give you space and obey you. This does not mean that they will not protect you. All members of a pack protect each other when they feel threatened. Just today I was startled by a loud noise and my dog perked right up and started to bark at the stool that my mom was closing up. She never seen the stool before and I was not aware of it being used. Dogs sense human emotion and when you are upset, angry or scared and will react to this. It is best to stay calm in situations you know the dog will become upset or aggressive, as the dog will pick up on your sense of calm and will become calm itself.

Training should be done in short bursts, maybe for 5-10 minutes per day. Reward and praise your dog highly when he does something desirable.

A dog that is just about to attack shows a body language to another dog that you will recognize if you watch them a couple times before they try to attack another dog. The dog's legs will be stiff. The dog's hackles will be up. The dog's forehead is wrinkled and he/she is showing his/her teeth. He/she may also be growling. His/her tail is up and waving slightly. If you have on the dog a choke or pinch collar you can jerk the collar to correct him/her then let go. And use the command "No!" Eventually the dog will understand you are the alpha dog and he/she has to listen to you. Also you can use a muzzle to keep him/her from biting another dog. But the dog will still attack until he/she knows you won't put up with it.

Behavior techniques vary from dog to dog and from person to person, but having a strong bond with your pet is the primary factor. See the related link below:

You should take your dog to a trainer for a while and should not take it around people until it's properly trained.
