This is most likely your belt squealing and not the clutch itself. Try some belt dressing available as a spray on from all parts store. If this stops the squealing you have a varnished belt and probably should replace it soon.
There is no fuses for the air conditioning clutch, but there is a relay mounted on the passenger fender beside the fuel pump relay.
Possibly a clutch failure or bearings on the pulley assembly. This tends to be a common problem. Check for blackish coloured dust particles around the commpressor, that's a sure sign that the clutch is going or gone. You should be able to replace the whole clucth assembly if that is the problem. Otherwise the compressor is starting to fail in which case it's a very expesnsive fix. Replace the commpressor, which in itself is easy enough but the system must first be evacuated of refrigernat, the compressor replaced along with the accumulator to have a valid warranty on most compressors. Then the system must be evacuated for air or moisture and then refilled with refrigerant. this get upwards of 1000 bucks at a shop and most DIY's don't have the equipment to evacuated and refill the system.
ac clutch relay open or short circuit
It's on top of the transmission. Follow the tube coming from the master cylinder.
not charged properly,over-charged, severe restriction in system (should have showed up on gages if properly charged), bad recycle switch, good luck, Mike
The clutch is working fine. The problem could be as simple as a loose belt.
could be a bad bearing on the air conditioner clutch assembly.
replace the whole thing. you can do a new one or get one from a junk yard

No.....its a both a waste of time and money............
Either the pump bearings are bad or the ac clutch is going bad. The clutch can be replaced but the pump bearings are not generally cost effective to change.
There is no adjust on an AC clutch, it is a good or bad situation. The clutch is activated magnetically. If it is th ebelt you are asking about it should be kept tight by the belt tensioner. If it is still squealing, change the belt, if no help change the tensioner.
It is possible to replace the air conditioner clutch without replacing the entire compressor if you can find somewhere that sells just the clutch assembly and can get the appropriate tool to remove the pulley to get to the clutch. Try buying a repair manual and looking in there.
Get a reman compressor and don't bother dicking around with the lame one.
if its a manual sounds like the clutch no it is an automatic
Gear? That is what a clutch does. The clutch assembly which consists of the clutch disc and the pressure plate that applies the pressure to engage the clutch. The clutch on the front of an air conditioner pump is magnetic and engages metal to metal without a clutch disc between them.
could be the throw out bearing
