There are many reasons a car can knock. Some are as easy to solve as using the octane of gas recommended in the owners manual. Others may be as difficult and expensive as rebuilding or replacing the engine. The first thing I would try is running the car almost completely out of gas, adding 1 bottle of Redline SI-1 to the gas tank and refilling with premium gas. While the additive is still in the tank, take it on the highway and floor it for 3-4 seconds, 2-3 times. Do the same with the next tank. It may be overheating without showing on the gauge. Check the coolant level. Even if the gauge is normal, part of the engine may still be running too hot. If you hear a consistent knocking at idle, the valves are sticking from sludge buildup. I had success fixing that at least 10 times with no adverse effects very easily and cheaply. Just pour 1 quart(0.25 gallons)of diesel into the engine oil and drive the car for 200-300 miles. Take your car for an oil change to get the dirty oil(it WILL be VERY dirty because the diesel will dissolve all the sludge from the oil system into the oil) out. If you are still hearing knocking, take the car to a reputable mechanic. I hope this helps.
A higher octane gas or an after market octane booster. But, if your car/truck is knocking, then something is wrong, either your timing is too far advanced or something more in depth..
Sometimes. It depends on what is causing the knocking.
No.

I get knocking & ping noise coming from the fuel injectors
A loud knocking noise in the motor of a car at high speeds is most likely the engine. There could be another issue with the transmission if the knocking only happens at high speeds.
You need to get your car checked.
by stepping on the remote or knocking down the set!
