u knocking on it
is it a front wheel drive? if so the cv shaft on that side could be almost about to fall apart. or it could be the wheel bearing.
CV joints. Get it checked right away. (or it could just be the person you ran over trying to get you to stop. lol)
Let the body out of the trunk, alternatively it could be a homeless man at the window.
if ur hearing knocking most likely ur rods are getting ready to bust loose as far as the heavy vibration goes could be anything from a loose drive shaft to a harmonic balancer take it to a mechanic indefinitly about the knocking or your gonna throw a rod through ur hood
Could be a rod knock. Your bearings slipping in the engine.
possibly distributor. tow to mechanic . if you drive , you could damage your engine.
A mosquito but i cant be sure because i am not a mechanic
Front Wheel Drive, could be bad CV Joints, Could be Control arm Bushings...
I would recommend taking it to a mechanic and have them listen to it. Everyone's definition of "knocking" is slightly different. Try not to drive it for too long; engine knocks can usually cause pretty severe damage to an engine.
DONT DRIVE HER! I did...and she dropped a driveshaft. Tow her to a trusted shop and have them check out the drivetrain. Good news is your engine should be a solid s.o.b!
Rear wheel drive --could be a bad "U" joint Could be wheel bearing Could be rear brakes not releasing completely Could be a bad tire causing a "bump" and shock absorber movement Could be a worn shock mount Could be a worn or broken spring
If the knocking is when you hit a bump it could be your axle hitting the frame, or you need shorter swaybar links.Make sure your pinon angle is correct or you will were out your drive saft u-junts.
