DONT GIVE IT TO THEM TO PLAY WITH ANY MORE... BE SURE TO SUPERVISE THEM WHILE PLAYING, THERE ARE PLAY-DOHS AND CLAYS THAT ARE NON TOXIC FOR KIDS.. GO TO YOUR PEDIATRICIAN AND SEE IF THERE IS AN UNDERLYING PROBLEM AS TO WHY YOUR CHILD IS EATING IT. SOMETIMES THEY ARE LACKING SOMETHING THAT CAUSES THEM TO WANT TO EAT IT....
Hi, My toddler was eating dirt and little stones, bark chip etc I managed to stop it by taking a little squeezy bottle of lemon juice and when he took a handful of dirt I squirted the lemon juice on it before he knew what I'd done. (Also said 'No, Yuck' at the same time he tried to eat it.)
Needless to say after a few bites and disgusted faces he stopped. Saying No, or smacking or trying to distract him didn't work for me but this worked almost instantly. :)
