VERY tough LT1 was never offered in that truck so you have to use "trail and error" to find motor mounts, radiator, hoses, computer and wiring harness to make it run plus the V6 transmission wont hold up to the power of this V8 A better option is to buy all the parts from a wrecked 88'-'95 pickup or SUV and transplant everything This way you'll have a V8 and wont have to swap the dash, guages, and updated computer controls If you want a newer engine like the Vortec '96-'98, You'll need the whole wrecked truck and swap the guages, DLC(OBDII scanner connecter) the dash and wiring, electronic transmission, and ABS module and sensors, including the rear axle for the traction control/ABS Like I said VERY tough Stick with the '88-'95 and you'll buy replacement parts for a '90 with a V8
nissan 300xz turbo
the g20 should be a 350 and I believe the caprice is a 305 you can swap the engines but you will also probably have to swap the intake and exhaust manifolds
yes, but you have to do some fabrications to the motor mounts.
If they are both 3100 engines...yes. Direct swap. The only thing you MAY have to change would be the motor mounts.
assuming the automatic was the same or near in year yes if you only swap the engines
yes they are the same engines.
yes. both engines are the 4g63. the turbo engines from the 1990-1994 is a 6 bolt 4g63 and the turbo engine from the 1995-1999 is a 7 bolt 4g63.
look on the left thingy and push down the thingy majig and swap it with the tweeker and there is the choke NEW ANSWER: There is no choke on fuel injected engines. Chevy quite using chokes back in the late 80s.
There are two common 2.2L Chevy engines. One is the nearly indestructible 2.2L OHV engine and the other is a modern, efficient, generally well engineered but as yet unproven Ecotec 2.2L. They look very different. If the two engines look alike, they should be the same thing. Go ahead and do the swap.
NO.
Not hard same block just have to have a 1987 or new heads
