When you use Baking Chocolate in baking, normally you melt and add it to your batter which normally has sugar and vanilla in it, both of which help flavor and sweeten the chocolate. I do not recommend eating whole chunks of baking chocolate though!

There is a good solution. the following recipe is called Cake Bombs-

24 oz. of Milk Chocolate

1-2 boxes of cake mix (or in this case, the cake that you made too sweet)

12 oz. of white chocolate Frosting.

INSTRUCTIONS-

take you cake and put it into a large bowl and crumble it. once the cake is completely crumbled, take you frosting and put it all in with the cake crumbles. Mix. Shape you cake-frosting mix into 1-2 inch balls (depending on how big you want them) and put them in the freezer for 2 hours. after 2 hours, take them out. Melt you 24 oz. of chocolate and dunk the chocolate balls in the chocolate. after the chocolate s dry, melt the 12 oz. of chocolate and drizzle it on top of the chocolate balls. put them in the freezer for 1 hour. (note- take the chocolate bombs out 30 min before serving)

Another Answer

White chocolate is too deadly sweet for my taste. I would use dark or semisweet chocolate; or another less sweet variation, meringue balls. Make barely sweetend meringue and gently stir in the cake crumbles. Drop spoon sized balls on a cookie sheet covered with wax papaer. Brown like you would a meringue topped pie (watching closely).

Typically, the recipe for a cake includes some form of sugar, or sweetener. If you used a recipe that made a not-sweet cake, reread it, see if you made any mistakes, and if not, try a different recipe ^^

You can not put a lot of sugar or too much syrup. Use whole wheat flour, 1/2 tea spoon baking powder.

Does using marzipan under fondant icing makes the cake too sweet and does fondant icong makes the cake sweet?

Marzipan under fondant icing makes the cake too sweet, because fondant icing makes the cake too sweet on their own. It is better to use a buttercream with less sugar.

Can you make butter icing with royal icing sugar?

Royal icing and butter icing are completely different products. Royal icing is made with beaten egg whites (often as dry egg white powder) which break down when in contact with any fat or oil. Butter icing has a very high fat content, so the two types of icing are not compatible. If for some reason no sugar is available to make butter icing, it might be possible to reduce completely dry royal icing to a powder in a blender or food processor, then use that in place of powdered sugar for the butter icing. But that would be a very odd way of getting sugar by way of reverse engineering.
