In my experience Chevrolet 1500 4x4 dosent have a front wheel drive option. You should be able to drive in 2wd, 4wd high and 4wd low but no FWD.
In all honesty, the best way to convert from 2wd to 4wd is to sell the 2wd and buy a 4wd. You will spend more to do a conversion than the Amigo is worth.
well the best would be 4wd but if you have a 2wd then a FWD would be the best
The 4wd is automatic in the 1992 Subaru Legacy Wagons. There is an empty fuse under the hood that has a cover that says FWD that can be used to disable the 4wd and force it to be in front wheel drive, but by default, there should not be a fuse in it. When there is a fuse in the FWD connector, the dashboard will have a warning light that says FWD, indicating that you do not have 4wd enguaged. If the light is not lit and you do not have 4wd then you have a transmission issue that will likey need the expertise of a transmission specialist. Check the transmission error codes (as opposed the the standard engine error codes.) They will likely help you pinpoint the problem.
FWD is usually in reference to front wheel drive. Sometimes, it's used to denote four wheel drive, although 4WD or 4x4 is more common.
she not worth it - will cost you more than new corolla
the 1995 kia sportage came as FWD or 4x4 and was never introduced as an AWD vehicle. There is a HUGE difference in AWD to 4wd. If your model is a 4wd model, you will have a 2nd level under the stick shift (or just the 4wd lever above the center console). If you have no 2nd lever, you only have the FWD model. **side note, if you have the 4wd model, do not push it over 30 mph max. The transfer case isn't meant for high speeds for any reason. You also may have to make a full 90 degree turn after switching back to 2 High in order to dis-engage the 4wd.
The dashboard switch to the lower right side of the stearing column. If it's not there then you do not have 4WD.
The Spicer 24 was used on the 4wd trucks- don't think Ford ever made a front wheel drive (FWD)
Thermostat... Transmission (4wd/rwd) Transaxle (fwd) Tire(s) Tie rods
All the way forward is 2wd next back 4wd high range, newtral next, 4x4 low range all the way back.
Toyota tacoma come in 2wd RWD not FWD 4 cylinder... 4WD 6 cyl 2wd RWD around 20mpg
