Hi,
If you are referring to the switches in the front of the van, it is pretty easy to do. Just slide a thin tool (like a screw driver) under the back of the switch panel and gently lift up. The whole panel will come up to that you can get to the switch.
There are also a couple of plastic retainers around the switch "box". Again, use a thin tool to gently raise that plastic and the switch box will come right out of the bottom.
I have included a link that shows the switch panel raised up.
Good Luck, Greg
I would try the window switch first , but if you are going to replace the switch then you will see how to replace the motor. You would have to take the door panel apart after that its easy.
they cost about 60 bucks, but are failry easy, take a small screwdiver and wedge it into the side of the cover holding the switch, the entire unit should come off, but be careful not to break the clips one on the side and one at the rear. The switch is easily replaced after that, disconnect one and replace. make sure its the switch because most are not returnable.
Take it to the dealer.
you should be able to take the cover off the driver's door by unscrewing it,then unplug the window switch and replace it,fairly easy..
well iam a retard you have take off the door panel to get to the motor but to replace the window switch get a flathead sd and stick it under the front of the switch holder and lift up
It's pretty easy to remove the window switch on that year Lincoln. Take a small screw driver and pry up on the window switch carefully and it will pop out of the door panel. Here's also a link to a video that will show you how to do this.
I was informed by my local dealership that after power is loss (disconnecting from the battery), using the switch at the window in question - take window down to lowest level and then bring it back up to it's highest level and hold the switch until you hear a 'click'. This process returned the passenger's front window remote control to the driver's switch for me.
take a small screw driver and pop out the whole switch assembly find the switch you want to change and pry the 2 small pins on the side of the switch away then disconnect the plug attached to the switch
It is basically all about removing the inside trim and then getting the retainer pins out that hold the window in place. Once you have remove the window, replacement is just the reverse steps. Take Care, Greg
Take the door panel off. The old switch or switch cluster should pop out of the panel when you release it from the tabs. The new switch which you ordered will plug into the window switch wiring harness. This will only plug one way; therefore, you can't go wrong. Pop the switch or switch cluster back into the door panel; attach the door panel back to the door frame.
Either bad switch or bad motor. Take your lest light and analyze the switch.
you can take the panel off the door and find the wires going to the power window motor. Take a car battery or charger and hook it up to the wires at the motor. if the window goes up or down then it is probably the switch. If it does nothing reverse the hookup. If it still does nothing it may be your motor. Hooking it up one way will move the window up and reversing it , it will go down.
