The handle should be set out with a small ring behind the actual winder.
Squeeze this together and it should change shape.
push this down at an angle opposite to which you are squeezing. e.g. if you are sqeezing horizontally push vertically.
this should then release the handle
You have to pry the clip out of the slot behind the handle
take it to a good body shop with a qualified tech!
To take the window handle off of the 2005 Kia Spectra, you will first need to remove the interior door panel. This panel pries off of the vehicle using a flat screwdriver or a prying tool. Then, access the door handle by removing its cover and then remove the screw at the center of the handle.

THe handle should be held in with two or three 10 mm bolts that you access from the inside of the door, but the window must be rolled up. To take the motor out it you have to take a few bolts out from the inside of the door problably 10 mm. If you want to take it compltely out you may have to take out the window completely.
You will need to remove the inside door panel. Remove the door handle retaining screws. Remove the linkage from the back of the door handle.
Push in slightly on the door panel around the window crank area. Take a small hook shaped tool (can be made from a coat hanger) and pull out the C shaped clip that pins the handle to the shaft. Pull handle off shaft.
There is a clip behind the handle. You remove the clip and the handle comes off, just remember they are a bear to put back on with out the handle removal tool.
lock located between the panel and handle. take small screwdriver to pry gap between back of handle and panel. then take another screwdriver push the silver lock ring off the shaft . then handle should slide off

on most cars you can take off the complete handle and inside of the handle is the braking mechanism there is a screw with a cable attached to it in various fashions you tighten or loosen that screw until your brake is to your preference
