If it is the original factory fitted radio take the model and serial number to your dealership with your VIN. They should be able to tell you the code.
ive just bought a new car and have replaced the factory fitted head unit with a pioneer i took out of my old car, it works perfectly but when i take the key out it stays on, its wired exactly the same as in my old car and t worked fine then, is this a problem with all peugeots? or do i need to wire it differently? it can be turned off by a button on the radio but will this drain the battery? thanks tom
Begin by removing the decorative cover from your 1990 Chevy Caprice factory radio. Remove the radio retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness and the antenna cable from the back of the radio.
Take a coat hanger, break it into four parts, insert the four hanger parts into the square slots on the 4 corners of the radio simulatanously and pull the radio out.
you cant the imobiliser is programmed in the ecu, take it to a vaux dealer
You have to take out the console directly below the radio. (The console has ashtray/lighter and another compartment) After that is removed, you can see the bottom side of the radio. There are 2 screws that hold it in from the bottom. THIS INFO is for the removal of the factory stereo/radio
1992 Honda Civics were fitted for R-12 from the factory, however if you're buying the car used, it may have been re-fitted for R-134. Best to take to an authorized A/C Repair shop if unsure.
The anti theft device in the radio locked it up. You will have to take back to dealer or garage that has a obd2 scan tool to unlock the radio.
Take to auto electricians as I had the same problem and they found a conlog relay for ignition faulty. after it was replaced car was working fine.
yea they take your top off i remember when i got fitted it was scary..
take your VIN in to a Holden dealer, they should be able to get the PIN if the radio was originally fitted to your car. If it is no longer on file or if the radio belonged to another car originally the radio will need to be removed and the serial number sent to Holden along with your VIN. That can be expensive tho, might be worth looking at a new radio if PIN for yours is not available.
