It just pulls off. There are 2 indentations on either side of the ball that the ends of the hoop fit into.
Take it off slowly If not get lost
If you are unable to get the ball off using your fingers, you will have to use pliers to get the ball off. It is best to have someone else use the pliers and not try to do it by yourself.
Most lip rings are in the shape of a hoop and have a ball as a closure. Simply take the ball off and gently work the space in the hoop to the hole. (if the ring is too small you may have to bend the hoop a bit to make it larger)
hold the inside with your teeth and you spin the ball to the right
Either it isn't screwed on tight enough or if its a captive ball ring, the ring isn't tight enough. So either use pliers to squeeze the ring tighter or screw it on.
Screw the ball back on the jewellery.
I wouldn't but it can be done
Push the bead side ways and it will pop off the ring, it's called a captive bead ring, the bead is held by the tension of the ring nothing more. no to get the ball off, you turn the ball to your right. the phrase Righty tighty lefty losey applies only it's the left of the piercer in which case would be your right. if the ball is stubborn and still won't come off go to a the piercer that put the piercing in place or another body art studio and explain to them you can't get the ball off and they should loosen it for you.
no, my son had to take his out for a pe lesson after one week and part of it had healed in that short amount of time. He had to pop the skin to get the ring through his lip again, massive pain. He did not do pe again for a couple of months, much to the annoyance of the teachers. Most lip rings are in the shape of a hoop and have a ball as a closure. I think you're describing a Captive ball/bead ring. Its really difficult to explain by typing it out and can be tricky to figure out for the first time. The best thing is to look up videos on how to open/close a CBR on youtube or something like that.
Unscrew the ball or gem. If it's too tight to unscrew, either go to your piercer for a longer bar, or soak it in warm water to relieve the swelling.
It is better to start off with a normal piercing (just like spikes), since your lip will firstly try to heal and will get bigger. If you start off with a ring there's a risk that when you lip get bigger the ring will stuck in it since the lip will have limited space to expand. It is recommended to switch to the ring a month after you started using the piercing.
