How do you teach your lab to get along with other dogs?
You have to train it.
Pick the dog you want to be dominant. Tie or pen the non-dominant chosen dog and feed both dogs with one penned and one free. Takes a few times, but the free dog establishes dominance.
It depends if the lab or sharpei likes other dogs. if you have a lab just bring the shar pei along and see if they like each other if they dont take away the shar pei
It depends on what kind of dogs you get. You can get a bull dog and a lab and they might not get along. You can get a small and big dog and they might not get along. This isn't a question of breeds getting along. Any dog will get along with any other dog provided it's properly socialized. Unless properly socialized, the Chow Chow often will not get along well with other dogs.
IF IT IS A LAB Anything OTHER not sure
Yes, black labs get along with other dogs and are terrific with kids and make great pets. I had a black lab for 12 years before he died. As with any dog, it must be trained. It depends on the age and dominance of the dog. We have a 9 year old back lab and introduced a 6 month old Shepard puppy. The black lab was VERY aggressive towards the puppy to the point of… Read More
you can get other breeds but it isn't a necessity
I have a black lab and a St.Bernard and the black lab constantly licks my St.Bernards eyes and jowls. When I asked my vet why he did this so much they told me it was a nurturing quality and that my lab was just looking after my St.Bernard.
Well the crossed breed lab has the qualities of the lab and of the other dog breed the purebred lab has only the qualities of a lab. Some say that crossbreed dogs are smarter since they have two or more breeds in them. I would have to agree I own two lab mixes and they are smart dogs.
As well as any other dog. How well depends on the Lab itself, how muscular and aggressive it might be and the other dog or dogs.
They can be but don't "expect" this just because the dog is a Lab. You have to put in the time and have the patience and energy to teach the dog to be a good retriever.
Yes, labs are often working dogs for usually the blind or disabled. But there are also other breeds that are working dogs too.
Cleaning up the lab, what school you come from that never teach lab rules......
Why is your female lab mix aggressive only with a husky mix who lives in the neighborhood She gets along with all the other dogs?
Dogs are a good judge of Character with both humans and Dogs. she is more than likely feeling intimidated and/or in a power struggle with what she see's as a rival. Not much you can do about it, dogs tend to be very territorial and will fight if they feel that another dog is trying to take over what they feel is rightfully theirs. A few things to watch ...... when and where is the… Read More

Labs are some of the smartest, if not THE smartest dogs in the world. They are quick to teach and can be taught to retrieve in just a year. My neighbor has a 2 year old black lab that will retrieve ducks, geese, etc. He will also throw empty beverage cans away! They are excellant retrievers!
I have a 9 year old pure Lab and a 2 year old pure rotty. They get along fine. A lot depends on how you introduce the dogs. You should introduce them slowly making sure they have plenty of time to get acquainted before you let them loose together.
Malteses certainly do not get along with larger dogs. Yorkies, scottish terriers, jack russels, mostly any energetic small dogis however a friend or can be a foe depending on your dog and the others. My neighbor had a golden lab and a small Maltese of age 3 (21 in dog years) and they got along fine. as long as Jojo(Maltese) led every operation.
Huskies are friendly dogs that enjoy company. They are nice to other dogs and have no problems living with other animals. As with any dogs it will take a week or so for the dogs to fully trust each other. When i was young i had a 3 year old lab and we had just got a jack Russell puppy when we introduced them to each other they were a little hesitant but after a… Read More

There aren't any dogs that resemble a white lab puppy in appearance or size, when full grown. There are dogs that look remarkably similar to Labs but grow to the same size or larger. These often look completely different from Lab puppies when they are puppies themselves. In short, there are lab puppy look-alikes but these dogs do not stay that size.
its either posh lab or rott

No. Mutts are Mongrels or rather mixed breed dogs. A Labrador Retriever (sometimes known as the "lab") is a purebred breed of dog. If someone says a lab-mix, then it means the dog is a mix of labrador and something else. So now, a labrador retriever is a type of breed of dog, not a mutt.
Yes, just be sure to introduce the dogs slowly. There should always be someone with the dogs when they are together for the first month to prevent fights. As long as the dogs get along there should not be a problem. I have a female lab and a female rott at home and they are best friends!
Depends on how well socialized they are. If they've both been around other dogs and enjoyed it, there should be no problems unless the older dog gets annoyed at the rambunctious puppy. Neither are naturally aggressive by any means.
One dog that does not shed is the labradoodle(poodle/lab)

No, Dogs should not eat horse meat of any kind due to the chemicals used to treat the horses for worms and other things such as illnesses. The chemicals do not go away when the horse dies and can kill other animals such as dogs.
Eight breeds of dogs are Dalmation, Great Dane, Husky, Chihuaha, Black lab, Brown lab, yellow lab,and golden retriever.
Another lab, of course! They love to run and play and EAT!
Usually if dogs are mixed they have a white tip on their tail or white on their paws. A purebred lab will not have these. A purebred is all one color. You can look online for the exact specifications of the breed so that you can find other inconsistencies.
Well I have a black lab mix and he is afraid of other or new people but he loves us he won't leave our sides.
