You first need to see if the fuel pump is actually running. In order to do this you will need a helper. Open the fuel filler door and remove the fuel cap. Have your helper turn the ignition on without starting the engine while you listen at the fuel filler door. You should hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds then shut down. If you hear the pump running this tells you the fuse and relay are good. If the pump does not run check the fuse for the pump and fuel pump relay. Even if you hear the fuel pump running this does not mean is actually pumping fuel. The only way to test this is to perform a fuel pump pressure test at the fuel rail. Make sure to replace the fuel filter in either case.
It is not equipped with an inertia switch.
Just had mine replaced. Its in the gas tank. Expensive Part and labor? $250.00- $400.00
check fuse then relay. have u been in accident or over rough terrain? look for a fuel pump reset button in trunk side panel area.
You have to drop the fuel tank. It's pretty straight forward from there.
A massive hammer and lots of money
