Haynes or Chilton book is a must before you start diagnostics.
2nd you will need an OHM meter.
Depending on what ranger you have, I know the 4.0L is 11-18OHMS.
a good idea would be to test ALL injectors, write down ALL OHM #'s you obtain. compare them all. And from there you will know where the problem injector is. If all injectors have no power, look at your ECM "electronic control module.
I hope this helped you a lil bit
The fuel injectors on the Ford Escape are located on the top of the motor at the center of the engine compartment. You can test the injectors using an ohm meter.
The EEC TEST connection should be in the engine compartment by the Power Distribution Box in a 1995 Ford Ranger ( EEC - IV , OBD I )
i had the same problem with my 90 ranger and i had to get a new pcm. that is the computer that tells the injectors to open and close.
how to changes injectors in diesel ford 1997
Fuel Injectors rail driver side, same look as the fitting to put air on your trucks tire.................Fuel rail is the tubing that supplies fuel to the fuel injectors..
On a 1994 Ford Ranger ( which is OBD I , EEC IV ) should have an EEC TEST connection in the engine compartment ( P.S. I'm not a mechanic / technician )
What fires the injectors on a 1986 ford 150 truck
No , it has four fuel injectors but it has Fords twin plug ignition system so it has eight spark plugs
can you use a transmission from a 1993 ford ranger in a 2000 ford ranger?
Run a compression test to verify the condition of the engine.
Swap the relay with another like relay.
Yes. The 3.0 block, heads, intake manifold and other main components remained the same for about a 10 year period. The only changes are in the ignition, and emissions systems, not fuel injection.
