cheap way: disconnect the fuel line at the carburetor or fuel rail and crank the engine, if it starts shooting out it works (at least partially)
otherwise take it to a shop and have the fuel pressure checked, that's cheaper than buing a pressure gauge yourself
or... get a wire that's long enough to run from the positive side of your battery to the ecm diagnostic port under the dash just to the right of the steering column. after you hook one end to the battery, touch the other end to the first prong in the second row of the ecm port. this will bypass everything and energize the fuel pump directly. you will hear it come on in the fuel tank, though sometimes its very faint. but just because you hear it doesnt mean the fuel pressure is steady, that will still have to be checked with a gauge at the fuel rail valve.
fuel tank
The fuel pump relay of a 1983 Chevy Camaro can be found inside the relay fuse block. It provides power to the fuel pump.
This question is kind of vague. The only way to answer this is that its an electrical fuel pump, as opposed to mechanical.
You MUST remove the fuel tank to service the pump.
It has an electric fuel pump inside of the fuel tank.
No
You must remove the fuel tank.
take it to a mechanic
Fuel injected? Electric fuel pump located in fuel tank
Yes they have an electric fuel pump, it is in the gas tank
The fuel pump is in the gas tank, you have to take the tank down to replace it.
The fuel pump for any camaro with Fuel Injection is and will always be in the fuel tank. very few carbed vehicles have a fuel pump in the tank, most have the pump bolted on to the passenger side of the engine block.
