My 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan had a problem. The driver side power sliding side door stopped opening on its own. It would make all the right sounds and then unlatch the door, but not far enough so the door would open up and move back on its own.
I put together a web page with a video of my problem and my repair. I ended up putting a new latch motor assembly in the door. You can definitely do it yourself and save a bunch of money.
Visit my website. I have a walkthrough of the procedure.

I didn't have a problem with the controls, just the latch itself. Hope this is the right answer for you.

No cable, all controls are done with electric motors.
Check the fuse, check the flasher relay and check the bulbs. It's probably one of the three.
