Check your owners manual for the fuse box diagram. Find the fuse marked DRL and remove it.
Our daytime running lights just stopped working on our 2007 Toyota rav4 bulbs???
Yes! For a 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, at least, all it takes is the removal of one relay labelled DRL to deactivate with no ill effects. It's a five-minute job that took me almost a year to discover.
The 2007 model does have daytime running lights,But they may have to be programmed in by a Mitsubishi workshop. Not all countries have mandatory daytime running lights ,The system is part of the ETACS (electronic timing and control system ) and is only accessable via a dedicated Mitsubishi data tester.
No! At least mine don't
Your daytime running lights (DRL) are on.
Lift up on the E-brake until the first click. This works for any vehicle (Chevy at least) with daytime running lights.
turn the car off and apply the parking brake, when you turn the car back on, or to the accessory position, the daytime lights will not come on until you lower the brake lever
It is not a warning light. The DRL stands for Daytime Running Lights and will always be on unless you turn on your dashboard lights.
Some car will keep headlights for some time after the engine was stopped. I guess it was done so you can find the door to your house. If the lights do not go off at all, it means that the daytime running relay is not working and most likely has to be replaced.
Either take out the bulbs or remove the fuse for the DRL's. You should note that if you are in Canada, the Daytime Running Lights are MANDATORY on all vehicles sold in Canada since 1990, and disabling them may cost you a LOT of money in fines, as it is against Federal law, and the Highway Traffic Acts of most Provinces.
It is not a serviceable part.
The 2007 Toyota Highlander has 16 valves.
