Flip the on switch up. Alternatively, you could hold the switch with two fingers, keep your arm stiff and have a friend lift you up. That's probably the silliest way to do it, so well suited I think.
It really depends on how you do it in your building, because some places are different. Some flip the on switch up, while others just clap and the lights turn on. Here are a few examples:
