How do you turn the alarm system off on 1990 Astra Estate as just bought it with no manual and the alarm has started randomly going off?

May just need the power sounder resetting.While the engine is idling,slack the battery earth cable (for speedy next step)switch off the ignition and within 15 seconds remove the earth terminal.After a couple of minutes,reconnect and see if all ok.You will also have to re-enter the radio code. If this doesn't help,alarm may be faulty,auto-elec job.
