I have a 1995 Geo Tracker and there is a handle just to the right of the gear shift (I have 5 forward) that's clearly marked "2" and "4". I'm fairly certain that yours isn't that simple. Sooooo -- go to GM dot com and join the community (you need your vin number). They will permit you to download an owner's manual in pdf, and I'm certain you will find it there. In addition ebooks on line offers free copies of owner's manuals for later years.

By selling it and buying a four wheel drive, it will be a lot cheaper, and if you have to ask you do not have the skill to even give it a try. I don't know many if any people with the skill who would even do this.
Take it out of four wheel drive.
Four wheel drive on some vehicles locks up the differential and will cause the inside tire to buck and squeal as you turn. When on dry, smooth, grippy pavement, don't use it because it is hard on your car.
yes it will, but not because it is being driven by the transfer case, but because the front axle is turning it
If its a front wheel drive car , you automatically push the accelerator but not to hard and turn into it not with it. A 4 wheel drive car you turn into it and press the accelerator and finally rear wheel drive you let go of the accelerator and turn into it
Not really.
If you have a Right hand drive model, down and right of the steering wheel there is about 10 buttons. One button has a diagram of all 4 wheels and it says Lock in the middle of the wheel diagram. But if you have a recent santa fe the 4 wheel drive system should turn on automatically! If you have a left hand drive model it should just be a mirrored image!
There should be a lamp on the dashboard with something like 4 wheels and lines between them, when you turn on/off your AWD, this lamp should be on or off. Other systems show this kind of information on display. Anyway most of the cars are permanently AWD, FWD or RWD.
