The proceedure is outlined in your user manual and I'm going by memory on my wife's 03 Grand Prix but I believe it goes like this: Turn the ignition to the On possition but do not start the car. Pump the gas all the way down SLOWLY, but not too slowly, three times. You have to get 3 full pumps within 5 seconds. Then turn the ignition off. The light should flash a few times and go out. Then just start the car and it should go out in the normal time.
