Likely the reason for failure is the cable is off or shorted inside the hinge. Solution. Cut cable and pull it out from hinge tube reconnect the wires as per their color code and boot will open again.

I left my car keys in the boot and closed.I went real panic but this is what you do. You will have the central locking button on your centre console. A single press will lock and unlock the doors only. Now you press it for more than 2 seconds, which will unlock everything including boot. Then you can just get out and push the button on the boot to open. Using this, now you don't have to turn the car off to open you boot anymore!
