One way to get the glovebox to unlock is by inserting a flat screwdriver into the key slot, then take a hammer and pound the screwdriver into the lock. You can then turn the lock with the screwdriver. This can damage the plastic trim piece around the lock, so be careful. You should then be able to open the glovebox. another way and probably better than breaking anything would be to look under the glove box at the screws undo the screws on the hinge area flip the bottom up and away, then reach in there to the latch and squeeze the two tabs together.
