the knock sensor on a 91 camaro 305 in on the passenger side of the block, bellow the exhaust manifold. its a few inches in front of the bell housing., and has a single wire running to it. looks a bit like a temp sensor, or oil pressure sensor.
To remove the heads on a 305 Chevy, first disconnect the battery, carb and throttle cables. Also disconnect the sensors and vacuum hoses. Unplug water temp gauge sensor on the thermostat and disconnect pump from brackets.
driver side cylinder head between spark plugsdark green wire to itthis is for the guage or light, in dash
Yes. A bad or failing temp sensor prevents the ECM from monitoring, and adjusting for, the engine temperature.
Try replacing the engine coolant temp sensor.
where is the temperture sensor located on a 2002 chevy trailblazer with a 4200 motor
1 wire.
Try looking on the side of the left head it should be a one wire sendor, ground that wire to the block if the temp gauge maxs out that means the temp gauge is good.
On the engine block between the first and second spark plugs on the drivers side of the engine.
There is a sensor located between exhaust manifold #1 and #3 (drivers side). This sensor controls the temp gage in a cars interior.
possibly a engine temp sensor. need more info, this is a good start.
If it has vacuum lines attached to it, it is probably a thermoswitch that controls the vacuum to the egr valve. If it has an electrical connection it is probably a engine coolant temp sensor.
