You have to open the drivers side door and almost stand on your head to see the sliding mechanism. Once you find it( it looks like small channel iron) simply spray it with a little WD-40,wait a few minutes, repeat if nessecary. I you out
EDIT: The above works some of the time. But also, under the seat attached to the handle you grab to slide the seat, should be a small cable. Sometimes these cables break, or get stretched out. So you grab the handle and slide it over, and then pull on the cable. .

You will have to remove the inside door panel and determine the cause before any repair can be suggested. Re-post with your findings.

This operation is easy: If your car is a four cyl then they may be in front or along the top of engine, if it is a V6 celebrity then you have 3 in front and 3 in back. when taking the plug wire off do them one at a time. Example: remove one sparkplug wire and remove that sparkplug for that wire. So that you will not mix up fire order. Or get a Haynes repair manual for that said car.
Follw the belts. One will lead back towards the firewall down low, that's where you'll find it.

Most auto supply stores can help you with a list of the fuses you need. If not, a Chevy dealer will. == == == == == == The fuse box can be pulled down, there is a handle at the back of it, pull forward and down, fuses are marked for what they are.
The last year Chevy Celebrity made was 1990 but generally speaking to replace a thermostat: 1. Using a suitable container drain the coolant below the level of the thermostat. 2. Remove the water outlet. The thermostat will be there. 3. Clean mating surfaces and install the replacement thermostat. 4. Put the bolts back in, replace the coolant and check for leaks.

I actually own a 1984 Chevy celebrity and it took me 8 hours to take the dash apart, install the radio and put it back together again. Then, my radio stopped working after 2 weeks. If you want to take on this task, you will need to start by removing the screws from inside of the glove box. My advice: just don't. If you are half as stubborn as me, you will not listen, but you have been warned.
It will show it in the Hanes manual
To change the starter motor on a Chevy Celebrity: 1 Disconnect the battery ground. Use protective gloves. 2. Set the parking brake. Raise the car as required and put on jack stands. 3. Disconnect the wires at the starter solenoid. Take note of where they come off so you can put them back on. 4. If there is a brace from the starter to the block remove it. 5. Take out the two bolts that hold the starter in place, pull the starter out of the bell housing. If there are shims between the starter and the bottom of the engine block save them for use with the replacement starter. Reverse the process to install a replacement starter.
