Make sure it is in park...... Then the next thing to do is find out if the problem is in the key lock or in the switch. Take off the plastic cover on the steering column (3 screws underneath) ... then unscrew the tilt lever. On the left side of the column there is a couple of "silver" screws...you should see them...That is the switch...remove those 2 screws and pull the switch out. Turn that with a screw driver to see if it is froze-up. If it turns freely..it will be the key lock. Remove the key lock by looking on the bottom of the key lock (underneath column) for a silver kinda' square button that you push in with a small screwdriver...turn the key as needed to remove it...Those key lock cylinders cost $150 bucks so don't mess it up.... don't forget to unplug it also...
