open the tool, slide it over the line and into the groove between the two sides. push and twist it to release inside tabs. pull apart
It takes a special tool, go to your auto supply store and they will help you.

If there is none and you want to change the fuel filter, just be prepared for a slight spray of fuel when you disconnect the fuel line.
