The personality of the President can keep his popularity higher with the public and sometimes can help him with Congress, but t is not a major thing. Calvin Coolidge was quite popular even though peoplemade fun of his tacitrun ways. I think criticism of the President's personality usually are by people who do not like what he has done or the direction the country has turned . In order to get elected, the President has to have a certain charm or charisma and must have a long record of success as a politician.
