A snap throttle valve on a vehicle works by using dual internal valves that give a full on or off operation.
it is the valve which reduce the pressure.
The Trailblazer has an electronic throttle (drive by wire). There is no IAC valve, it is built into the throttle body. Remove and clean the entire throttle body.

the TV is spring loaded sometime if you take and pull the cable and let it snap back a few time this will dislodge any buildup that is making it stick if this doesn't work you'll have to pull the pan and clean it out by hand hope that helps
the TPS is located directly under the Idle Air control valve (IAC valve) located on the throttle body
For a steam engine, the steam(throttle) valve that sets the engine speed/power is often known as a regulator. k.Shiva
On a centrifugal supercharger(Paxton, vortech, procharger-yes. On a whipple /eaton- no because they are located between the throttle body and engine, BOV only work when the throttle body is between the supercharger and engine.
The 1999 Nissan Pathfinder with the 3.3L V6 has the idle air control (IAC) valve directly below the throttle body towards the front of the vehicle. The IAC is a black cylinder secured with two screws and has a snap on wiring harness attached.
The turbo blow off valve works by:If the throttle returns to idle while at high boost the valve opens and relives the pressure preventing turbo damage and speeding boost recovery time. This is done by use of a over pressure sensorOr by use of a throttle position and boost pressure sensor working together.
There is a throttle position sensor mounted to the throttle body. That's the place where the air intake valve sits near the top of the engine. Look for the throttle butterfly valve; on the end of the butterfly valve shaft should be a little sensor with wires connected; that's the throttle position sensor.
An idle air control valve controls the engine idle revolutions by opening/closing to let more/less air into the throttle body (carburetor)-the car computer reads and controls the valve.
The ERG valve is a valve in the turbo/supercharger system that controls boost pressures to the manifold. Normally it is hooked up to the computer system and the throttle body. Sometimes just the throttle body.
