Drought, a serious shortage of water, kills cattle and sheep on farms. It makes farmers abandon their farms. It leads to suicides. It means crops in the ground wither and die. It means people have no food to eat. It means that whole peoples migrate as climate refugees.
A drought usually means lack of rain. In places where artificial irrigation is lacking droughts can mean crop failure.

The Atacama is in a state of perpetual drought so it really can not get any drier than it already is. So if there was a drought in 1517, it would not really have been noticeable in the Atacama.
it could kill humans and if there is no rain no water or supplies
Hey questioner, droughts impact on people because our human bodies require water which the dry spell (drought) takes away. We also can't clean ourselves, water the garden, drink and survive etc.
Crops and ultimately people die in drought. Third world countries do not have adequate means to deal with drought.
well its not so much to them but to us as we do use a whole lot of emissions into the air so trying to reduce drought. but thats only my view
famine becomes drought because after the drought people start to get hungry and starve themselves and sometimes they starve to death.
a drought can cause crop failure and death to people and animals
