I assume you are asking "how does" not "how dose"... Well, they both have alcohol, and both have calories. Beer is much higher in carbohydrates, even the light one. Wine is generally healthies since it has antioxidants, improves digestion, and does not leave you bloated. Beer, if you got a habit of drinking it often, evenually leads to a beer belly. Either one, in moderation, should not have a major effect on health (unless you're pregnant). Beware that any alcohol increases your appetite. So, it's the munchies that often gain you pounds, not the drinks themselves.

If you are a beer drinker then you may wonder what beer does to your body. The most popular problem that people come across from drinking beer is a beer belly. This is an over sized tummy that is hard to get rid of. Drinking too much alcohol can raise blood pressure to unhealthy levels. Having more than three drinks in one sitting temporarily increases your blood pressure. In the long run, if you drink more than one or two beers a day it can become unhealthy for your body. It can affect your physical, mental, and spiritual piece of minds.

The moderate consumption of alcohol (wine, beer and liquor) promotes good heart health and increases life in a number of ways, including the following:

• Alcohol improves blood lipid profile

â—¦ It increases HDL ("good") cholesterol

â—¦ It decreases LDL ("bad") cholesterol

â—¦ It improves cholesterol (both HDL and LDL) particle size

• Alcohol decreases thrombosis (blood clotting)

â—¦ It reduces platelet aggregation

â—¦ It reduces fibrinogen (a blood clotter)

â—¦ It increases fibrinolysis (the process by which clots dissolve)

• Alcohol acts in additional ways

â—¦ It reduces coronary artery spasm in response to stress

â—¦ It increases coronary blood flow

â—¦ It reduces blood pressure

â—¦ It reduces blood insulin level

There is no significant difference in the health benefits provided by wine, beer and liquor (distilled spirits such as gin, vodka, tequila, whiskey, rum, etc).
