There was a post not long ago as to whether long distance relationships worked and the posters that replied opened my eyes and made me realize what a mixed bag this is.
Many posters were in long distance relationships and they were working. Others weren't so fortunate.
It depends on the person you are in love with and if they are loyal and have a good conscience.
Keeping in touch with each other by phone, email or making a good effort to see each other on the weekends or at least once a month (if possible)is a good start.
Soldiers in war were away from their wives or husbands for months or years, yet many were very faithful to their mate. (they may have had a little "swing time" at a bar or party, but it meant nothing and served a need in most cases.) So, keep in touch with the one you love and try to make it out to see them as often as you can.

∙ 10y agoThere are many ways one can try to cope with a long distance relationship. Trying to see each other as much as one can, trying to keep in contact by phone or by webcam are just some ways in which this can be achieved.

Why is Christian long distance dating so different?
I do not think there is any difference in a Christian long distance relationship from any other kind. Any long distance relationship is hard to have as both of the parties in the relationship have to deal with being apart from one another.

I've had experience, but long distance relationship seriously doesn't go for long. one of them usually gets bored and cheats on the other.

Most often when there is a long distance relationship and the boyfriend works in a band the relationship already has two strikes against it ... the long distance and bands that become popular often have 'groupies' follow them and the groups in the bands are well noted for fooling around with one or more groupies. There are a very few young men who are in a popular band that remain true to one woman.

No. Sometimes I travel that to do some of my grocery shopping. My husband (then my boyfriend) traveled further than that to see me and sometimes I would drive out to his place. Long distance is when someone lives in another City or Country. If you are a minor then this could be considered a long distance relationship because it's harder to get together. No its not a long distance relationship is one that it takes as long 2 get there as it does when you would go on a vacation so its really hard to see the person like 2hrs 30 minutes and up id say is when you start being long distance

A long distance relationship can work only if both people are willing to make it work and want it to work. It will be harder than a "regular" relationship, but it can happen. It all depends on the people. i'm in a long distance relationship too and it has been one year since we both haven't met.it's really hard we both tried a lot....and we are still trying but i don't think it's gonna last long...it's painful.all d best

Well that is a tough one but I mean if its trust then just tell him/her what you really feel deep inside you. I mean anyone in a long distance relationship cant really trust you that much because who knows what they're going to do. Just watch out and dont get played.

A long-distance relationship can only work out for a long time if you both know you're meant for each other and want to be with each other. My advice is to break up, in order for you to meet new guys, who might be even better than your current boyfriend now, if you both agree on it you can have a long distance relationship but long distance relationships, never really work out unless he is going to move back.-for me, it depends on you. if you know can take a long distance relationship then go for it. if you can't just get out of it. I can't tell you what is right to choose because only you yourself know what is right when it concerns about your feelings.

Yes it can, if you both try and out effort into the relationship. I myself am dating a Portuguese and I am American. We have known each other four years and have been dating for one year. Long distance is not an issue if both of you are honest and have good communication with each other.
