Trees sequester (store) carbon for long periods of time. When the tree dies, or is burned up in a fire, that carbon is released back into the atmosphere. Trees harvested for lumber continue storing most of the carbon they have sequestered.

Since trees replace the carbon dioxide with oxygen, researchers maintained that fewer trees contributed to more carbon dioxide and faster global warming, and more trees will reduce the greenhouse effect.

Planting treas help reduce the green house effect because trees take in the carbon dioxide we put out, thus reducing the green house effect! That was a very good question and i am glad i could help! :-)

Tress are one of the main reasons for avoiding the greenhouse effect. They absorb one of the main greenhouse gas that is carbon dioxide thus reducing greenhouse effect.

How do some people reduce the greenhouse effect?

The only way to reduce the greenhouse effect is to actually remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The only way to do this is to plant trees. Trees remove carbon dioxide through photosynthesis. Some people plant trees to reduce the greenhouse effect.

How can things change the greenhouse effect in the future?

We could change the greenhouse effect in the future by planting billions of fast-growing trees. This would remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and the enhanced greenhouse effect that we have now would slow down.

What effect does planting trees and bushes on a steep hill have?

Helps stop erosion

How is deforestation adding to the greenhouse effect?

Trees remove carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas, from the atmosphere and store the carbon in their trunks and branches. When deforestation happens and the trees are burnt or rot, that carbon dioxide is added to the atmosphere, and because no more trees are planted, there is no longer anything to remove the CO2. This is how deforestation adds to the greenhouse effect.

What can reduce the greenhouse effect and global warming?

The only activity that can reduce the greenhouse effect, or slow the enhanced greenhouse effect, is to plant and regrow huge forests to make up for the ones we have cut down. Vegetation, through photosynthesis, absorbs carbon dioxide and stores the carbon. Trees store carbon for hundreds of years in their roots, trunks, branches and leaves, so they take carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.

Why does planting millions of trees help reduce the greenhouse effect?

Planting millions of trees help to reduce greenhouse effect. These trees absorb carbon dioxide which is one of the major greenhouse gas.

Would planting trees help reduce the greenhouse effect?

Yes. Becuase trees take in the carbon[CO2]and releases oxyen[O]to the planet which we breath in to live. Then we exhale and it releases carbon.

What you can do to protect the greenhouse effect?

We can slow the enhanced (or accelerated) greenhouse effect which is causing global warming by slowing our carbon dioxide emissions and by planting billions of trees.

What are the example of the green house effect except for global warming because it is already given?

The example for greenhouse effect is in indoor farms. There it is used for planting trees.

Is it true that the greenhouse effect can be reduced by limiting the destruction of forests?

Limiting the destruction of forests can slow the rate of global warming, but in itself is probably not enough to reduce the greenhouse effect. This can be achieved by reforestation, planting more trees, and by cutting our carbon dioxide emissions from the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas).

How does planting trees assure that global warming will be lessed?

Part of the problem with global warming is the greenhouse effect, which has to do with there being too much CO2 in the atmosphere. Trees absorbCO2, so there is less of it.

How is reaforestation going to help the ozone layer?

Planting trees will reduce the effect of global warming, but it has little to do with ozone depletion.

Does planting trees decrease greenhouse gases in the atmosphere?

Yes. Growing trees and vegetation is the only serious way to remove the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

How do trees help slow down greenhouse effect?

Trees help to slow down greenhouse effect as they absorb carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide is a major green house gas and can cause greenhouse effect.

Is planting trees in your backyard one of the ways to reduce pollution?

Yes
