The body has to resort to stored fat for nutrition and energy. As a result, there will be a decrease in fat around the body. (This happens after a week or so of continuous fasting / starvation.) Many organs, like the kidneys and liver and heart, will begin to not function right and a person can suffer organ damage or failure.
If your fasting for medical reasons, lie you have a test or ultrasound then just eat 8-10hours before, and have small amount of water during your fasting. But if your doing it for extreme weight loss i suggest not to. Your body will run into starvation mode and your body will hold on to fat and once you eat your packing on more fat.

The only bad diet would be unhealthy fasting, this could leave to starvation, improper body development, unhealthy weight loss. A healthy diet is never enough, you also need exercise, if a diet alone is working, get off of it before you starve to death.
