The governing styles in South Korea are drastically different than those in North Korea.
South Korea is considered a first class, safe and efficient country. Living in places such as The US, the only things that could be found odd are mostly mandatory military service for men under 30 years, and that abortion is illegal. Food is, for the most part, not a hardship in South Korea. Seoul is a huge, high class city and a lot of the country is farmland.
In both countries, the climate is mild, but on the cold side.
The North Korean government is strict, and although technically a republic, remains a Dictatorship. A modern day feudalism can be noticed, with around %90 of the population living outside the capital, P'yongyang, and food situation is scarce.
For the other %10 percent, life is fairly good - P'yongyang has a great university, specializing in language, but the city is mostly made of government officials and their families.
Laws are strict and bad things that are said about the government are federally punishable. For most of the country, leaving is not allowed.
WELL north Korea is a centralized paranoid communism. its got a poor economy and cant even support its own people. torists have to be with a guide at all times they still do public exicutions. in north Korea they cant practice freedom of press unless it shows the government in a positive view. radios and TVS are rigged to play only government approved channles. that being said north Korea only has 38 TV stations. they ban moble phones. they shut off all power from 12 midnight to 8 in the morning and most of there factorys are abandoned from lack iof funding. the mass majority of the remaining factorys make weapons. also talking crap about there leader is worth the death penalty and they give out food in frount of his statue also north Korea has the 4th biggest militry in the world. lastly they threaten nukes on everyone except there allies which are Russia, china and i think Japan. also they spent less then 40 bil dollars on imports per year.
south koreas economy is booming, they trade on the free market, they have a great nation with a slightly corrupt democracy. and a medium sized military. pretty much everything i said about NK is opposite to SK
-Northern influenced by industry and non reliant money from agriculture
-Southern influenced mainly by agriculture.
:) Welcome.
North Korea has a communist economy. South Korea is a capitalist economy. South Korea is a growing economy especially in the areas of technology, music, and beauty products..
North Korea is communist or a one-party state and South Korea is a non-communist multiple-state democracy
heydog what's up
North Korea had a very high living standard, higher than the south until the 1980s. However since the economic collapse, unprecedented natural disasters, mismanagement, and famine in the 1990s and early 21st century North Korea's living standard has dwindled from its one high position to 99th in the world equivalent to that of Jamaica.
Because South Korea is more advanced and has a higher standard of living.
South Korea is a modern democracy and North Korea is a communist dictatorship.
china uses their money for building and north korea uses theirs for nuclear warfare and capturing christains
it doesn't
The Korean Peninsula has roughly 75 million people, 25 million of whom live in North Korea, 25 million of whom live in Seoul metropolitan area, and 25 million of whom live in all parts of South Korea outside of the Seoul metropolitan area.
In terms of development and standard of living, Japan is the most progressive country in Asia. In terms of economy, Qatar is the most progressive country in Asia (and the world).
I think you want to know about the standard of Korean money. Both North and South use Won(원) for standard, but the worth of the money is different.
North Korea is currently communist, and has been communist since WWII. It is split from South Korea along the 38th parallel. All of North Korea is Communist. Maybe not the civilians and/or other people living in North Korea, but definitely the government.
North Korea is communist South Korea is capitalist
