Cain and Abel were the first two sons of Adam and Eve. Cain murdered Abel and was banished to Nod. So Adam and Eve had another son and named him Seth.

In the Gospel according to Luke, chapter 3 we find the genealogy of Jesus Christ. In verse 38 it tells us, "the son of Enos, the son of SETH, the son of Adam, the son of God. Seth is the Godly line from which Jesus came when He was born in the flesh.

Would Adam and Eve had another son and named him Seth if the story of Cain and Abel were different? Answer: God would have had a way to bring forth the godly ancestry of Jesus by some means, and possibly by a son named Seth. Salvation is by Jesus Christ.

Who is Able in The Bible?

Abel was a son of Adam and Eve; also the younger brother of Cain. He is most well known in the book of Genesis, chapter 4. In that chapter, Cain kills Abel in a fit of jealousy.

Why did Cain kill Abel in the Bible?

Cain 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. Because God liked Abel's animal sacrifice more than Cain's vegetables, Cain kills his brother Abel in a fit of religious jealousy. Genesis 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. (4:3-5) 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

Why does Cain kill his brother abel?

he was terribly jealous of his brother because Abel got the most attention from his parents because he was kind and soft spoken unlike /Cain.Answer:Cain's sacrifice was not accepted Abel's was and Cain became jealous of Abel.Gen 4:6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why that scowl on your face?Gen 4:7 If you had done the right thing, you would be smiling; but because you have done evil, sin is crouching at your door. It wants to rule you, but you must overcome it."Gen 4:8 Then Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out in the fields." When they were out in the fields, Cain turned on his brother and killed him.The answer given in the Bible is basically because Abel was righteous and Cain was not. Cain was thus jealous of Abel, even though he himself made the choice to not obey God.12Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. Now The Bible states in Genesis 4:2-4, that Abel brought fat portions from some of his firstflock, and Cain brought some of his fruits (leftovers). God saw Abel's offering with favor because he gave God his best.Proverbs 3:9 states, "Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase"Additional Answer:After God rejected Cain's offering, he became very angry. God warned him that he was knocking on the door of sin but he did not listen and committed the act.Genesis 4:6-7New King James Version (NKJV) 6 So the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."Cain lost his temper, and became jealous and angry because he had not bothered to follow the requirements for offerings, and that is why the Lord was displeased. Cain harbored his anger and let it get out of control and did not heed the Lord's pointing out to him that it wasn't a great idea to feel that way. Because he did not accept this, anger led to murder which is a behavior pattern we still see today. Genesis 5 verse 2-12 relates the story.2. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. 4. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: 5. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. 6. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 7. If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. 8. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. 9. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? 10. And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. 11. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; 12. When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.Answer:Because God liked Abel's animal sacrifice more than Cain's vegetables (Genesis 4:3-5), Cain kills his brother Abel in a fit of jealousy. Genesis 4:8

Where does the stone age fit into Bible teachings?

----------------------- The biblical authors assumed that society was unchanging, and that their ancestors had always used the same technologies and skills as they themsleves knew. Thus, Genesis tells us that Cain and Abel were already farmers, almost at the beginning of creation, and that Cain even built a city. In Genesis chapter 4, we find a worker in brass and iron. The biblical authors knew nothing of the stone age, and there is no room in Bible teaching for the stone age.
