For the few plants that exist in the rainforest, they have to spread out and have big, broad leaves to capture the small amount of sunlight that actually reaches the forest floor. In general, there aren't many plants that grow on the forest floor of the tropical rainforest because of the lack on sunlight and due to the fact that most trees and other vegetation grow tall creating a thick canopy.
The only time plants and small vegetation might grow on the forest floor is when a taller tree falls down creating a hole in the forest canopy. Sunlight is then able to reach the forest floor and some plants can establish themselves and start growing.
These are the 5 layers of the rainforest:Emergent layerCanopy layerUndercanopy layerShrub layerForest floorHope you find this helpful!
Sciophytes are shade loving plants. These plant species are adapted for shady conditions such as under a forest canopy and can utilise minimal light conditions for optimal growth. Sunita Y.
the layer under the mantle layer is the outer core
ferns are leafy vascular plants that grow in moist areas under forest canopy. With the passage of time, ferns have evolved and some can tolerate and thrive in places with extreme drought and heat .
This layer of solid rock is called bedrock.
The main layers of the rainforest (from top to bottom) are th Emergent Layer, the Canopy Layer, the Under Store, the Shrub Layer, and the Forest Floor. You are welcome!
The subterranean layer is the layer under ground :)
The Bengal Bamboo lives in the under canopy layer, which is the bottom of the canopy.

The Understorey is second from the bottom. The bottom layer is the Forest floor, then the Under storey, Canopy and and at the top emergent trees. Hope this helped

What type of animal eats berries and lives under the canopy layer?
canopy?
Emergent layer where trees poke higher, canopy layer thick shelter made by trees overlapping, understory layer where the trunks and ferns etc are and the floor where more plants, ferns, baby trees and leaves are, the leaves get so thick that they become a carpet.
some chameleons live in the canopy but some live under the canopy because that's where they catch their prey.
The canopy is the tops of the trees, the "under canopy" is the next layer down.
Rain forest is known by its high rainfall and have different habitats. The four types of rain forest habitats or layers are Emergent Layer, Canopy Layer, Under-story Layer, and the forest floor.
