It can be caused by debris clogging the drains on either side of a collection pan that is below the bottom of the front windshield. Its located at the top of the firewall and is covered with plastic shrouding. Wind shield fasteners hold it in place from one side to another.
When the holes are clogged water builds until it spills over into an air intake for the heater. You may hear the water fall into the cylinder fan when you are driving.
Two very small holes are located above these drains and high pressure air should clear them.
You can also try a hose but if that fails you can remove the plastic cover and clear it also.
any leak on your drivers door, or firewall. could be just about anything.
put a bucket under the leak ;p by your mam
the heater core is leaking or ac drain is stopped up
You need to identify the leak before you can fix it.
If water is getting into the passenger footwell one or more of the weatherstripping has failed. Check the doors as the weatherstripping makes a funned to drain a lot of the water. If there is a leak that can be leading into the cabin of the car.
Leaky weatherstripping around the doors.
Hi there in most cars not just in meganes if the leak is inside the car in either the drivers side or passenger footwell its normally the heater matrix which is located behind the dash board. But check under your carpets first as you may have a hole in the floor which would let in in rain water wen driving. Try to remove the covers that are just below the front window (those with holes in them). They are easy to just snap off. Chance is big that you will find this area filled with water. This is due to a drainage hole that tends to get clogged on meganes.
yes they did have a gas leak
Dry up the water. Take the car to a car wash and spray it good around doors and windows. If a leak is not visible then check the floor during rain storms while driving to see if water is coming in through a leak in the floor.
if your car has got air con and you had the pollen filter changed, check to make sure the cover was put back on properly
TSB 92-050 Cause: Not enough sealer on the cowl side of the panel to bulkhead seam.
I have same problem with an 02 & 06 reg, roofrack seals are useless also the aerial can leak water in, with water coming out of interior light, silconed both items, I thinks that has cured it.
