There are 2 adjustment screws per headlight both are spring loaded. The first is toward the fender if you are looking down at the retaining bolts of the head light. It is actually in the small hole. The horizontal screw sits over by the blinker retaining screw and at first glance may look like a retaining bolt for the head light. Other than that I'm guessing you already know you need a full gas tank and someone sitting in the driver's seat (weight distribution) and a wall about 25 feet from the front of the car to aim the head lights at. It is best to find the bolts during the day as at night when you are making your adjustments the glare from the headlights makes them hard to see.
The standard headlights use one 9004 bulb per side, while the sport headlights use two bulbs, a 9004 and a 9007. Light output is better with the sport headlights. This info is for model years beginning in '94 and '99-01 sport headlights. Retrofitting requires adapting the wiring to the two bulb system and cutting some sheet metal behind the headlights for clearance.
When turning headlights on, pull out on headlight switch knob.
It is the same as the switch to turn on the headlights. Pull it out toward you.
If it is equipped with fog lights, you turn them on by pulling the headlight switch out one notch after turning the headlights on.
Go to the dodge place and ask THEM to remove it
The sport has painted bumpers instead of chrome.
Take it to the dealer or a shop that has the proper equipment to do this properly. You don't have the correct tools. I have taken my 2002 Montero Sport to the dealer 3 times to have the headlights adjusted to no avail. What kind of tools are necessary to adjust a headlight? Shouldn't it be a screw driver? I can get closer to the specs than Pete Moore Imports in Pensacola, FL. Ok if the dealer is no help then here is the best you can do without professional equipment. You'll need a screwdriver and a wall or garage door to adjust the headlights. Start by parking on a level surface in front of the garage door or wall; turn on the headlights and look at the door or wall to see whether they are aligned properly. Using the large screw near the headlight, adjust the level and position of the headlight up, down or side to side. Tighten or loosen the screw to get the beam pointed in the right direction. Some newer cars have a level that makes this process simple. Be sure to get the bubble in the level in position by turning the screw.
Where can I get a free copy of a 1995 Dodge Dakota Sport Owners Manual
Under hood just aft of the light housing you will see a few holes. It appears that it would not be anything but if you use a flashlight you will notice a torqux adjusting screw located about 7" down behind the light housing in one of the holes. Its either a T-20 or T-25 star bit. These adjust the light beam. You must first loosen the light assemble first to get the adjustment screws to work then re-tighten the light.
