Most of them.

Another Answer:

Some breeds are able to run for much longer periods. These are mostly Arabians, the Akal-Teke, and similar breeds.

These particular breeds are commonly used for endurance races. Some breeds like the draft horses (Clydesdale), are not built for running, so they cannot run for long periods. It also depends on the horses training. Horses are athletes and just like human atheletes they need training, exceptional diet, and conditioning to be in top shape to run for long periods.

Forest Gump

The answer formerly given was 'Man' is probably the best distance runner. Although humans have pushed themselves to great distances in running, dogs have surely outdone the humans.

For example; sled dogs can run up to 100 miles a day over several consecutive days without any trouble. It is my understanding that no other animal can cover that kind of distance in a day. My hope is humans don't abuse the dogs talents by working them to hard as sled dogs. They enjoy it but they are living creatures just like us!

Probabally Man. Without question many animals are faster for short periods; however, man is a really good distance runner. If you are talking about constistant running in time, and not speed, or distance in time, without a doubt, Man is the winner.

Look at the New Youk Marathon, the Boston Marathon, and the Olympics. 23miles and 313? yards: enought additional millage to get the race to end in front of the baclony of the KIng's summer home sometime durning when the distance was set.

People run; other animals run; however, they do not run the distance. Man is a distance runner. Along with our opposable thumb and rotary cuff, and of course, as sort of fatially overgrown forebrain, we are really good at running.

Story: Australia: In killing kangaroos: The Red Roo was confined to river valleoies until 'tanks' or waterholes and europian settlers got there; the Aborigines had an expression or bunchies of thoughts about running and Kangaroos who we all know can out hop us anyday.

What you do is chase the kangaroo until night fall; get up the next day, and go to the kangaroo, who outdistanced you with no question, hit it over the head and enjoy meat, take it home or somethinbg you do in the outback.

Poi8nt: running distance for man is what man is suppose to do; other animals just are fast and short and cannot go the distance. Which is why we got to be concerned with the weather.

Running is interfiered with by hot and dry, and hot and moist.

So, Man is the supreme distant running animal.

Arabians can endure long distances but i wouldn't recommended riding a horse for more than 3 hours , it's healthy for the horse to ride a little bit everyday or weekly
