Frontline plus can be safely used every2-3 weeks if you have a flea problem. make sure that if you are going to bathe your pet you do so either 2 days before or after application. make sure to apply it directly to skin. Frontline will kill all fleas that get on your pet. if you are seeing a lot of fleas still after applying you need to treat environment.
It says on the box or bottle; usually every month. Certainly not more frequently as it may build up and really damage the dog. (I almost killed a pet raccoon by using dog advantage because of poor advise from a vet, and the new vet couldn't tell me what was wrong until someone said, " put him in tub and give him a bath with DAWN dish detergent. It strips the oils out of his hair and skin."
Remember, Dawn is used to save oil-soaked wildlife by being used in bathing them.
Frontline Plus is effective for one month, and Frontline Spray is effective for up to 12 weeks for a dog, and up to 8 weeks for a cat.
Frontline Plus should be applied once a month, Frontline spray lasts up to 12 weeks for a dog.
Every month
You can not apply frontline on a cut or bleeding blister no.
The dog has to be at least 3 months old.
It is recommended that you do not wash your dog for at least 48 hours after applying frontline. You should not use a harsh shampoo or a flea shampoo when you have used frontline. Washing your pet up to once a week was shown not to impact its effectiveness.
Once a dog is 8 weeks old, you can use Frontline - there is no weight requirement. There are different doses for different weights, so select the one that most closely matches your dog's weight.
The reason that you need to apply frontline to the shoulder blades is so that dog or cat can't lick it. Putting it on your animal's stomach where he can lick it can be dangerous to the animal.
NO, this is really dangerous for the dog. Frontline for 40lb dogs is 4x as strong as Frontline for 10lb dogs, and the increased dosage is poisonous to the dog.
Well most times you can apply only the month needed. You don't want too much of this in their system. 30hrs is almost 2 days, so no i would not re apply the Frontline plus. If your dog is suffering from ticks or other problems check them out at the nearest Veterinarian Center, they will be able to tell whats wrong with your dog. :D
That means its working. My dog had fleas and when I applied the Frontline, she did the same thing, because the Frontline was killing the fleas and they were running all over the place, and itching my dog. If this is the first time giving your dog Frontline, make sure he/she is ok, and isn't having any kind of allergic reaction, and as long as its not causing any discomfort or concern, she is fine.
Apply frontline/other tic medicine on your dog at the appropriate time is usually the best way to do it. Check your dog after going in a field or in tall grass.
I would not recommend it. I do know you should never put the canine Frontline on a cat. You should use the canine Frontline for the dog according to his weight and the same for a cat, use feline Frontline only. Why mix them?
Beagles, like most other animals, can get ticks. This is why it is recommended to apply Frontline, or a similar medicine, to your dog's back once a month.
A dog should not get sick from the recommended dose of Frontline. It would need over 50 doses for a toxic affect to be expected.
