How fun is Committing Suicide?

First and foremost I would like to state that if you are planning or even considering suicide, I urge that you get help immediately. There are hot-lines everywhere and you should definitely talk to someone.

However, in the hopes that you are like myself and do ponder such topics on occasion, however gruesome or morbid, I will give you my philosophical viewpoint on this topic.

What fun could committing suicide be? First of all, every way I can think to kill oneself would be rather painful -- be it a bullet or a cut, or even a plummet from a tall structure. Of the group, I'd personally choose the plummet but nonetheless it would be extremely painful, and that's assuming you don't die before you reach the ground (cardiac arrest usually handles this nicely, and boy oh boy is that painful). The only way one might find any part of suicide "fun" is if they were a masochist or thrill-seeker (then I guess I could understand the adrenaline rush).

Again, I do want to urge that you seek immediate help. Talk to your doctor and get a referral, call a friend, call a family member who you can trust. Do something, but don't end your life.

Suicide is merely a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Eternity, all by itself is a scary thought, an eternity of suffering with no possible end - ever, no alleviation, no distractions, just more and more endless suffering, that is hell, and that is what suicide is a one way ticket to.
