A lot of the things that occur in history have to do with geography. For example, the ideal location of Florence for trade made Florence a very popular and busy city in the Renaissance. Geography also helped with the fate with certain battles. For example, the group on top of the cliff would have an advantage to the one below it. Geography and history are very closely related. In fact at my school in ninth grade, you take geography as your history course.
