There are multiple aspects of technology that have changed dramatically over the course of just the last 20 years, let alone 100.
Apple started coming in, full force, with new devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch. Now, after just a few years, the iPod touch is all the way up to iPod 4th Generation, and iPhone 4th Generation and 4G. Apple has also released different versions of it's operating system:
*Mac
*Macbook
*Macbook Air
*Macbook Pro
Microsoft has invented many different things like the Microsoft Office whole package. Just recently they released Microsoft Office 2010. Microsoft is also making operating system advancements. Over the last, I believe, 30 years, Bill Gates has revolutionized this world as we know it by creating Windows. Way back when Windows NT 2000 was around, computers couldn't handle anything. Now, we have the wonderful operating systems like the Windows XP Professional, and Home edition. We also have the Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2000, and a few others.
Cars are technology too! Over 100 years, vehicles have changed in a very dramatic way. From those old, sturdy, cars, to new and fast cars. Back then, 20 mph was an AMAZING speed. Now a days, 200+ MPH is an amazing speed. Before, there wasn't much cars in the way of looks. Now we have some high-tech cars like the Lambourghini, the Ferrari, and the Mustang. Bicycles have also made a huge advancement. Instead of just the basic bike, you have Mountain bikes, BMX bikes, Stunt Bikes, and so forth.
Cameras are another big part of technology that has changed over 100 years ago. In the 1800's, just a bit farther back, a man named Joseph took the first ever permanent photo. Of course, the technology way back then wasn't at all like it is today. The picture looks as if it was a triangle pointing towards the camera. Now, we have digital cameras that take photos in picture, that can take fast motion pictures, and that can take video.
These are only just a few pieces of technological advancements.
