A Burqa is a "dress" which covers the whole face and body. Burqa is used mainly in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Blue is the most common colour. The Burqa with its grid in the front is easy to recognize.
Chador is not covering the whole face. Mainly used in Iran (Chador is Persian - originating in sanskrit for garment or cloak). A chador is a full-length semi-circle of fabric open down the front, which is thrown over the head and held closed in front.
